It’s getting cold out.
I don’t want to run.
It happens to me every year. I fill my belly with turkey and dressing, I watch some football and then….
I want to hibernate.
Like a bear.
The problem is I’m not a bear. I’m like you. I’m a human.
You and I, we have jobs. We have responsibilities. We have to shop for the holiday’s and eat all the yummy baked goods that people make.
Darn you people.
Shopping and pies are the perfect recipe for running procrastination. Before you know it, it’s January and you’re afraid to get on the scale.
You feel guilty so you set a new year’s resolution to get in shape. Then you run….really hard…because you want to make up for your time spent hibernating. Then you get hurt because you tried to do too much. Then you have to wait…and wait…then you hear about a race…in July! So you start running again.
Don’t wait until July to run again. Do yourself a favor and go for a run this week. You will be glad you did.
